2026

PHOTOVOLTAIC FIELD
PHOTOVOLTAIC FIELD

To mark its 105th anniversary, Parà completed an expansion of its photovoltaic installation at the Pontirolo Nuovo (BG) manufacturing facility.
A new photovoltaic field covering approximately 10.000 m² was commissioned, increasing the total installed capacity to nearly 1,500 kWp and complementing the existing solar energy system.

2023

TRANSITION TO PFAS-FREE FINISHING
TRANSITION TO PFAS-FREE FINISHING

Starting from the second quarter of 2023, all the fabrics in  TEMPOTEST® and TEMPOTEST HOME® collections have been produced with a PFAS-free finish, meaning that no per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are used in the finishing process.
The transition to PFAS-free finishing technologies was progressively implemented beginning in 2023, in line with evolving regulatory requirements and market expectations regarding the use of chemical substances.

2023

OEKO-TEX® CERTIFICATE FOR PFAS FREE FABRICS
OEKO-TEX® CERTIFICATE FOR PFAS FREE FABRICS

Following the transition to PFAS-free finishing, all the fabrics in TEMPOTEST® and TEMPOTEST HOME® collections are certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
The products are tested by an independent laboratory to verify compliance with the requirements established by the standard, with particular attention to restricted substances and criteria related to human health and safety.

2022

USE OF RECYCLED PACKAGING
USE OF RECYCLED PACKAGING

Parà uses recycled packaging for its fabric rolls, contributing to the reduction in the use of virgin materials.

2021

TEMPOTEST® STARLIGHT blue
TEMPOTEST® STARLIGHT blue

TEMPOTEST® STARLIGHT Blue is a collection of fabrics for sun protection made with recycled PET GRS (Global Recycled Standard). The production process, compared to conventional virgin polyester manufacturing, enables a 60% reduction in energy consumption, a 45% reduction in CO₂ emissions, and a 90% reduction in water use.
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is promoted by Textile Exchange, an international organization dedicated to the development of standards for recycled textile materials.
The standard defines criteria for verifying recycled content, ensuring traceability throughout the supply chain, and setting requirements related to the use of chemicals as well as selected environmental and social aspects.

SMART SOLAR SHADING ADVISOR
SMART SOLAR SHADING ADVISOR

As a result of participation in the training program developed by the European Solar Shading Organization Academy (ES-SO Academy), members of our staff have earned the Smart Solar Shading Advisor qualification.
Through dedicated training pathways, our team assists customers and dealers in identifying solar shading solutions aligned with the architectural and performance objectives of each project, helping to optimize solar gain management and improve indoor environmental comfort.

2018

COGENERATION PLANT REVAMPING
COGENERATION PLANT REVAMPING

Following the installation of its first cogeneration plant in 1999, Parà carried out a revamping project aimed at enhancing the combined production of electricity and thermal energy.
The upgraded system enables the generation of thermal energy in the form of hot water at temperatures between 70°C and 88°C and steam at 10 bar, through the installation of three generator sets with a total electrical output of 3,000 kWe and a thermal output of 1,728 kWt.

2017

REDUCED PAPER USE IN COLLECTIONS
REDUCED PAPER USE IN COLLECTIONS

The restyling of Parà’s collections led to a reduction in the amount of paper used for textile sample presentation.
This initiative contributes to lowering paper consumption compared with the previous collection format, supporting a more efficient use of materials.

2015

TEMPOTEST® STARSCREEN PVC-FREE
TEMPOTEST® STARSCREEN PVC-FREE

TEMPOTEST® STARSCREEN is an innovative fabric. Since it is not PVC-coated, it is characterized by a genuine textile feel and dimensional stability, making it suitable for both interior design and architectural applications.
Thanks to its FR solution-dyed PET fiber, the fabric can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments while maintaining excellent color stability over time.
Its pleasant transparency allows for the modulation of natural light, contributing to visual comfort and the enhancement of interior spaces.
The HI-CLEAN® PFAS FREE treatment provides water-repellent properties and facilitates fabric cleaning and maintenance.

2014

FIRST TÜV CERTIFICATION
FIRST TÜV CERTIFICATION

Parà obtained its first certification from TÜV Italia, an organization that provides verification, inspection, and certification services across a wide range of industrial manufacturing activities.
TÜV Italia’s assessments may cover various aspects of production processes, including material control, process verification, product conformity assessment, personnel qualification, and plant inspection and monitoring activities.

2012

PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS

More than 20,000 m² of photovoltaic panels have been installed at Pontirolo Nuovo manufacturing facility and at the Company’s headquarters in Sovico, generating electricity from solar energy.
These systems contribute to the self-generation of electricity used to support Parà’s manufacturing and operational activities.

2007

REACH COMPLIANCE
REACH COMPLIANCE

On June 1, 2007, the REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament entered into force, governing the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals.
The regulation provides for the identification of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs), which are included in the Candidate List and establishes specific information requirements when such substances are present above the thresholds defined by the regulation.

2006

FIRST OEKO-TEX® CERTIFICATION
FIRST OEKO-TEX® CERTIFICATION

Parà fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, tested fabrics and the substances used during the manufacturing process in accordance with the requirements defined by the standard, with a focus on ensuring compliance with human health and safety criteria.

1999

COGENERATION PLANT
COGENERATION PLANT

Parà has invested in a cogeneration plant that simultaneously generates electricity and thermal energy using engines powered by methane.
The system recovers thermal energy produced during manufacturing operations and reuses it in the form of hot water, steam and process exhaust gases.
Cogeneration offers greater energy efficiency compared to the separate production of electricity and thermal energy using conventional systems.

1984

Waste Water Bological Treatment Plant
Waste Water Bological Treatment Plant

Parà has invested in advanced water management and treatment solutions for its manufacturing processes.
In its main production factory in Pontirolo Nuovo (BG), Parà has built a wastewater treatment plant based on a single-stage biological process, complemented by equalization tanks and dedicated systems for nitrogen removal and sludge dewatering.
The plant treats over 3,000 cubic meters of water per day and achieves a purification efficiency of 94%.
